    ENFJs, I have a confession

    I have been avoiding you
I've had bad experiences with every ENFJ I've met. I've happened to have been unlucky and met the manipulative types. ANd without meaning it I have stereotyped you all. I spend a lot of time in the INFJ forum and I always mingle with the ENFPs and INFPs but I've left you out without actually realising it.
This was wrong of me as I know MBTI is just a tool. It doesn't completely define a person.
So I'm posting to apologise as this was wrong of me. I wouldn't like it if somebody avoided me just because of my type.
So I promise to mingle with you to and try to understand your type better :) You have so much to offer and I have missed out due to a silly attitude.
    I'm sorry.

It's understandable. I'm not en enfj obviously...but there are not that many enfjs here....so it's hard to connect with them as much as the ones who stay around.

The single person who took advantage of me the most in my life and had the most negative impact on me was an ENFJ so, yeah, I had planned on avoiding discussions here. I promise I'll talk on these threads!! Holly is right, all enfjs aren't all the same, so I'm sorry as well.

I'm sorry you had to deal with overly manipulative people. I've seen it happen to so many people. Everyone is always so skeptical of me when they first meet me... and sometimes long afterwards... because they just can't see how someone can truly care about them. I hope that you find people here that prove to you that not ALL ENFJ's are like that.

oh an btw... I love your avatar... Audrey Hepburn is amazing.

I know an ENFJ who I think is highly manipulative. I'm quite sadistic and hurtful to her because of how she attempts to manipulate me. She is very sensitive to rejection. She seems to be avoidant, and I strike ruthlessly at that weakness. We are friends on the surface. I like her a lot, but she seems to always be able to come up with a reason for why she hasn't followed through on her promises. She's quite F, meaning that I can hurt her very easily. I am only cruel to her when she is pulling manipulative shit. Otherwsie, I'm friendly.

I think we have to realise it's not down to a bunch of four letters. It's the person's fault, not the type and that they don't represent everyone of that type. Sometimes it's hard when you have been hurt though, emotions can cloud your judgement.

I've had the complete opposite experience. My best friend is an ENFJ, although I am not her best friend. I think she has many people who call her best friend; everyone she meets likes her and wants to be her friend. She's kind and fun and brings out the best in people. I often envied how she was able to make friends so effortlessly.
