    ENFP's+ENFJ's

Any of y'all had a relationship with one of us ENFP's? I had a ENFJ girlfriend at one point, we kicked all kinds of ass together. She kinda taught me how to be a good boyfriend, so... I owe her a lot.

Anyway, any of you fallen for one of us before?

ENFPs are a rocky road. Have an ENFP sister, she has a view of the world that isn't right, and she is kind of crazy. Have an ENFP boss, she's ok... I have an ENFP friend on another forum, she's awesome.

No homo but yeah, madly in fact.

ENFJs argue that they're the introverts amongst the extroverts against the ENFPs. I'd like to compete with an ENFP girl to see how long we can be introverted together :3

Feels weird saying this but yeah, that's what I'm looking for in life. Kicking ass, not relegating ourselves to any life commitments and just kick ass together! Take over the world and blow it up, together!

Madly in love with them... see the videos as well... super infectious.

Many, times. ENFJ surround and teach me about life.
I was in a very deep relationship with an ENFJ that taught me how to commit. MY best friend is an ENFJ she taught me how to see the world more critically and how to keep myself organized. My cousin ENFJ, taught me to write down my dreams and make them more tangible, he allowed me to explore but he made it clear that i need to focus on the detials of my exploration, he says that's how I will be able to make a difference in the world.

MY favorite things about ENFJ's: they give a lot a good and genuine positive reinforcement to this ENFP's. They teach, they organize, they will be very dedicated in relationships. THEY ARE DIRECT! Will try to understand me. They are so willing to indulge my quirks. We get into crazy adventures. They are hilarious. AMAZING CUDDLEs. They are beautiful. And When they have found the career they love, extremely passionate and determined. I love our deep hour long conversations. I can talk to an ENFJ all night.

ENFP + ENFJ downfall in my opinion is the amount of energy.

ENFJ / ENFP relationship works if the ENFP is accepting of the ENFJ's "control" and appreciates their mentoring approach and accepts that ENFJ's can be better organized in certain things.

ENFJ's OTOH need to be more respecting of the ENFP's sense of spontaneity and explorative natures and become more spontaneous as time goes on.

Ne feels like nails against my Ni when I'm in a relationship with one. And my Fe can become a cage for the ENFP.

In my opinion it could be one of the hardest relationships to fix if it gets broken. There are so many things that can go wrong.

I can write a book about my experience of ENFP vs ENFJ [They're my love-vice ... Can't live without them, can't live with them --- but then --- that's mostly my own fault too -- not that I'm against exploring a relationship with any other ENFP I happen to meet :)]

You have an ENFP sister whos view of the world isn't right. Who are you to tell her, or anyone for that matter that their view of the world is wrong. This is clearly the difference between ENFP/ENFJ. ENFP are free spirits, extremely independent. We don't like to be controlled, or try and control others. ENFJ are controlling, something the ENFP would frown upon. Well i shouldn't exclude other types from hating this form of control either. Its been my experience that ENFJ like to push and control the minds of people through manipulation more than any other type. True story, my experience. Fe without a doubt is the most manipulating function of all 8 functions. I can't imagine living in a world of Fe, surely i would crumble and die ;)

On a good note thou, i do value the introspective side of an ENFJ. They are equally as introspective as ENFP. The difference i clearly see is because they use Fe ) shudders* ;)....they have an easier time expressing themselves. Many times they say what i'm thinking, which is nice. They're deep like us, smart and have lots of wonderful ideas. ENFP use Fi, we keep our private thoughts more to ourselves. ENFJ aren't near as private as ENFP. Their Fe doesn't allow it:D

Anyways i have a few ENFJ friends. We connect well for the most part. When our Fe/Fi clash, i simply ignore them. I've gotten a good grip on their manipulating ways now, as all our friends have. We value the friendship regardless, so we try and compromise to keep peace.

This pretty much describes my relationship with Fe/Fi ... like I said .. imo, it's the worst relationship to be in when it starts going wrong. The ENFP / ENFJ dynamic can work, but from my experience, it's very, very unlikely. No matter how good the intent behind the Fe is, Ne has a tendency to misinterpret it. And once Fe Ni intent is misjudged, then it becomes a battle of authenticity versus genuineness which actions never seem to translate well. Both end up living up to each other's expectations and start playing out the relationship in their head seeing wrongdoing at every turn -- feeling manipulated by each other and so on --- and once that happens, the relationship enters a massive push and pull .. love to hate, hate to love stigma where the best solutions are easily ignored and not explored --- everything that's good for the relationship turns into something horrible and so on.

she said was she was sexually abused as a child, and thats why she has trouble paying her car bill because committment scares her. She lies and creates excuses out of everything so she never has to do anything she doesn't want to. She's extremely selfish, and her view of the world is everyone should literally bow down to her.

ENFJs and ENFPs are actually extremely different, not only in functions, but order of fuctions and everything. The letters mean practically nothing. I don't mean to rag on ENFPs, but my sister gets on my last nerve. ENFJs are probably more open minded than ENFPs (or at least equal), so when I say her view of the world isn't right, I don't mean I don't agree with it, I mean that its... Well I can't describe it. Not wrong, not biased, its... fake. I say this because I KNOW she wasn't sexually abused, she told me once that she just says that so our dad won't bug her. She just... Is extremely manipulative. In that way her view of the world is wrong. She also believes being gay is wrong, I being gay, is where I disagree with her, but at the same time I don't say thats a wrong view of the world, simply one I don't believe in.

And I am her brother, who loves her to death, no matter how much she bugs me, that's who I am, to tell her her view of the world is wrong, and none of her dreams will come true if she continues this way.

She likely will rebel against you for trying to control her. You won't reason with her by pushing your Fe in order to manipulate her into believing her dreams are doomed unless she conforms to what you believe, what is true for you, not her. Good luck with that ; D She has Fi, her own moral compass. This won't be an easy task LOL :D

I'm very surprised to read she is against the gay community. I don't know of any NF's that would be so close minded. This certainly made me question is she is really ENFP. That would be unusual for an ENFP, especially. Discovery, explore, dream, observe, knowledge is something natural to an ENFP. People are people would be more our motto.

There seems to be stress and dysfunctional things happening that i'm in no position to respond, or question. This can alter the behavior of people regardless of their type. Best of luck with all that.

I think....as long as the ENFP's Fi values match up with the ENFJ's Fe values, it could be a very successful relationship. I admire the spontanaeity of the ENFP. Honestly, this whole manipulative thing gets on my nerve....as well as the controlling thing. I can admit to being both at certain times in my life, but I certainly believe that negative utilization of these behaviors is a choice. Don't rule out an entire group of people because one or two manipulative or controlling ENFJs have crossed your path.

I've met unhealthy ENFPs that were more controlling than I am. I've met INFJs that were more manipulative than I am....and honestly, I know an unhealthy male ENFJ who was the most manipulative person I have ever met. He manipulated me horribly. I also know, however, a male ENFJ who I don't believe I've ever seen negatively manipulate anyone.

Please don't let stereotypes influence your decision. If anything can be said, it certainly has to do with the values that Fe/Fi define for each individual person....and the fact that Ni/Ne don't always function eye to eye. Communication difficulties are almost certain, but if both parties take the time to learn and understand an individual, you can work through them. Perhaps you will be able to take a step back and understand each other better when/if these difficulties surface.
