    Philosophical ENFJ's

Are you ever told that you're philosophical? My way of thinking in just this past year alone
has changed in such a dramatic way that I'm told daily now that I'm philosophical.

I feel like it's SUCH a rapid change in thinking that I'm going to soon fall off the face
of the Earth because of how in the clouds I am!! Everything I hear and see
is a symbol and can only be explained in a metaphor! It makes others feel kind of
distanced from me because they find themselves completely unable to relate.

On a personal note, I'm sure it's the growing secondary function, but it seems to hit
me with twice the punch every day that I wake up (exponential). It's scary honestly,
feeling such a growing gap between my friends and myself.

Pick up The Power of Myth by Joseph Cambell - you'll shit bricks.

Its one thing to be 'philosophical' and there's an other to be practical. Its when you can use those ideas in a proactive manner, sharing them, in a tangible manner, that you really begin to make a difference. That's perhaps the bridge between being a man and a boy.

will the pbs tv series do? From what I read, they're about the same.

Edit: Ah!! I'm dying! Ever heard of this theory?

Says there's a valid reason It's difficult to listen to the INFJ as the ENFJ. haha

    Relations between Psychological ("personality") Types

No, the pbs series really doesn't do it justice. The book is far more engaging, a much better experience. The pbs series is really bland, a cheesy late 80s edit, I never got too far into it. Check it out for yourself, who knows, maybe you'll like it (to each their own).

And yeah, I use this (Complete relationship chart between psychological ("personality") types) chart all the time, lol.

But if people have difficulty listening to ENFJs or INFJs, its simply because those in particular don't know how to communicate effectively. Always gotta take responsibility for the results/feedback you receive. Its the only way to learn and to get better as well.

I don't even know what the functions are! haha. I'm 26. When I was growing up I would spend a ton of time in my head thinking about the nature of reality etc. I had a lot of friends but very few real friends. I started going out with my wife when I was 15 and my mission in life since has been to care and love her (she's a INFP I think).

I think enviroment and life experience are going to shape your development so knowing me is probably not going to give you insite into yourself.

I have trouble communicating effectively. It's not a philosophical problem, but rather the fact that I have never learned the art of concise communication. Trust me, it's the biggest challenge for the writer and the spokesperson.

I'm good at interpreting philosophy, I don't shy away at it. But in real life, I have a much practical approach. I'm very optimistic, thinking that things will go well at the end, but only if you make the best effort to get it done. That's why you must have an open eye to all opportunities. While I'm not the most shrewd guy, I know that I can rely on others for guidance. I also know that many people aren't that interested or don't actually show an interest in philosophy, in its most essential setting. I tend to gradually and carefully make them dig into that, as well as me. Maybe my ideal philosophical movement, which I want so hard to get, is pragmatism.
