well, i think this one's still arguable :P

firstly, it's not like you're gonna have great relationship with someone JUST because of their type (e.g. like if you're heterosexual, you' re not gonna be attracted to EVERY woman, right? ^^), secondly, if we try to pretend very scientific and just quote mbti or socionics, none of these theories would agree, since duality is proposed as the best match, and that would give istj as the best.

i think that such "matching by type" attempts is one of the manifestations of overrating the importance of personality type. look at how different we are, even in this enfj forum - of course we're going to have different preferences, and, since everyone else' s just as different, we can find someone who fits our requirements in any type, it's just that it might be that some traits are statistically more desired between enfjs, as well as some traits can be offered statistically more in a certain type.

with that said, i got infj :D

but this test is not really a good one ayways, because it obviously determines your "type preference" by the letter (beginning with e/i dichotomy and so on, just to end with j/p one. gosh, so lame.)

I agree. And I know a therapist who says that an I really isn't the best type for me. We've got such conflicting space needs.

That was a hard test. I want someone who is clean and also not critical. And I want someone is talkative and also a good listener. I'm that way, so I know it's possible.

And Mother- F'er, this test is wrong. It says that the right type for me is INTJ. I have had four INTJ boyfriends, and they were horrible for me. They left me traumatized, and I don't want that again. Even my shrink says that I would be better off avoiding that type.

I might take it again. Maybe it's my answers to the questions that keep sending me to INTJ's in the real world. The behaviors that I think are good are not the ones that actually work for me.

Okay, I edited this post. I took it again, and now it says INFJ. I have been on two dates with an INFJ who I like. But I was also married to an INFJ and that didn't turn out so well. I am going to take it again.

Alright, so far it comes out INTJ or INFJ every time. The J is apparently quite important to me, which is no surprise.

Okay, it finally came out as ENFJ. I think INFJ or ENFJ is the mate for me. Empirical data shows that INTJ is wrong for me. J comes out 80-100 % each time. N may not necessarily be high but no matter how many times I pick a choice that may also be attractive, I get N. And I'm not certain which questions relate to N, but apparently they must not be the ones that I have any doubts about. I am somewhat surprised that T would be in the mix.

    You scored 0 I versus E, 0 N versus S, 0 F versus T, and 40 J versus P!

Your ideal mate is known as the healer. As a romantic partner, this type is usually supportive and nuturing, however, they have a high need for individuality. Harmony is extremely important to this type as they are very affected by conflict and tension, which also makes them resist confronting their partners directly about problems. When this type gets angry, they usually blame themselves, rather than their partners. This type can also be stubborn and unyielding when they feel they are being criticized or mistreated. They feel the most appreciated when their partners listen to them carefully. They need to be understood. They need to hear their partners express their feelings, the more often, the better. The group summary: idealists (NF)

Looks like I want to marry myself.

Was thinking that she'd be INFJ, ENFP or INTJ...

Our ideal mates are INFP. The only reason why it might not work with an INFP is because you don't have the rest of you're life figured out. Thats where everyone else comes in.
You just said what i always thought. In fact!..you almost made me gay there. (and I'm thinking the same about all types btw, not just ENFJ)
