I think the better question is, do you WANT children someday? My ENFJ friend goes crazy for little kids also, but I can never tell if she dreams of having her own.

I DEFINITELY want kids. It's one of my greatest aspirations. I absolutely loooove children, and I have a natural instinct to engage with them. One of my friends has 2 little boys, and whenever I go over we rough-house (basically just me tossing them on the couch over and over while they laugh uncontrollably)... and often when I go over to my best friend's house, I play dollhouse with her little sister... I always feel the need to meet them where they're at. But I also love the idea of guiding and growing them. Parenting, really. Again. I'm really excited to have kids.

My ENFJ little sister (she's 13) loves children with all her heart. She loves all people, actually
She's great at making up goodnight-stories, crazy (!) games and just have fun with children. I, an INFP, like children too, but my sister just becomes their best friend very fast. The person who's always got an idea.

There is a but, though. Sometimes she goes a bit too far with her ideas and acts pretty childish.
When I say childish, I mean refusing to make a compromise for example. I'm better at just calming the children down and such...
    Oh, and she's being MANUPALUTIVE
I don't know if you ENFJ's can relate to that - being manupalutive just "for the fun of it"? When she was younger she would frequently lie, or not lie, i think the right word is CHEAT - in games and such. She still does, just "borrow" things from me without asking in a childish manner. She likes taking revenge to ....I remember her emptying a bottle of water in my bed and telling that I'd peed in it She's the most fun and helpful person i know, but also the most sneaky and evil one. Hehe.
I've been meaning to ask you ENFJs that question for a while. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE ENFJs and you're genuienly sweet and helpful, but can you relate? I really want to know, i don't know why.

One day...I will be a daddy, and a much better father than mine. But until that day I'll just spoil my niece with hugs and love until I have one of my own. It'd be nice to wait until I know I am a strong enough man to be a great dad.

I want kids, but I'm more set on adopting than I am on having "my own".

I love kids, but parenting is not my goal yet! First my personal success later a new family!!

My ENFJ friend really wants kids too but is doubtful about whether she wants marriage ("what if I get sick of my husband??") Hehe, that's probably the independent streak coming out. She wants to start her career and travel before settling down.

Loving kids makes sense for her personality.. she's an enneagram two, wants to be a primary school teacher and naturally fits the nurturing role, even with friends. She seeks to draw out potential in others and this influences her pro-life sympathies too. She also has spiritual beliefs about how getting pregnant would somehow indicate the child choosing her to be the mother, which I found interesting...

We even had a semi debate about abortion bc I was more inclined to question/critique the ultimate value of life, especially in context of a mother's financial and psychological situation before bringing a child into the world. I thought that she was being a little naive about the more challenging aspects of motherhood and she felt a little uncomfortable that I was questioning her views. I made it clear afterwards that I was simply curious rather than trying to change her mind. I reflect on it as an interesting discussion bc it really seems to highlight her stronger preference for Fe compared to mine.

I did not think it possible that this level and depth of love existed.
