If this is how a platonic ENFJ acts I will scream

It feels so much that Mr. ENFJ likes me, I have no doubts whatsoever, except what I've read on this forum about ENFJs flirting. I mean seriously, my frustration would come from feeling gaslighted and not being able to trust my perceptions (which always serve me well).

Anyway...he just came into a cafe where I'm working, kissed me on the cheek for the first time ever, commented favorably on my new hair color, which is a subtle change that men never notice, showed me a book his mother just wrote, and told me if I show up this weekend for the weekly thingie he will make a special dish. He also has this very gentle happy smile in his eyes these days.

Among other things, the synchronicity is unbelievable....this is a different cafe from last week. The timing is hilarious. haha!

Can someone please put me out of my misery and tell me the dude likes me?

(in the meantime, I came to THIS cafe thinking I wouldn't see him because I just came from the salon and had freaking hair dye streaked into my face. I think it's mostly off but still...gah! Maybe he noticed my new hair color cuz it's all over my face.)

    LOL!

Here's my take on it: I realize that my behavior can be mistaken as flirtatious, so I tend to avoid behaving in a way that can be interpreted as flirtatious. If I was Mr. ENFJ, and I acted that way, it would be because I was into you.

When I read that part, I immediately concluded: HE LIKES YOU ALOT :) I only ever kissed a guy on the cheek if I liked him. I've only done that twice. That's my signal of: HELLO, I LIKE YOU...I AM MAKING IT CLEAR :)

thanks. I've got to stop reading these threads where the ENFJ comes on strong and then says they have no feelings!

This guy is older, not a spring chicken. So I think he should understand how his behavior can be construed. Also...if he's as perceptive at figuring out people as I think, he knows better than to lead me on. grrrrrrr. haha!

A happily married ENFJ once complimented me on the fact I painted my nails the day beforehand. Seriously, I swear that he has verbal diarrhoea when it comes to saying nice things to people.

Well if he's avaliable and you like him, I say go for it and invite him for a coffee or something. ENFJs value friendship and, more importantly, a real emotional connection with their potential partner; I would say you need to concentrate on developing a friendship with him and let nature takes it course.

Think of it this way, if it doesn't happen, then chances are it wouldn't have worked out long term anyay.

i compliment girls when they change their eyeliners, guys when they get a new haircut etc. even new bags are varnished with 'Ooh, nice bag!' or at least, 'Oh, new bag.'

as for kissing on the cheek
I dunno if this is a personal trait but i believe that many enfjs are very touch conscious. I hate being accidentally touched by strangers or even close friends, at times. if he kissed you, he s let you in.

    then again,
I hold hands and hug and am physically affectionate with my friends( male and female) so he does like you a lot but at the worst, maybe only as a very good friend. you can deff. build on that.
