That is quite explicitly not true, and is the basis of my entire previous comment.

"What we end up achieving" is called "outcome." Potential has nothing to do with outcome other than they are ostensibly correlated to some degree. You are dismissing the entire concept of potential.

@Dante Scioli li cauteres potenciaus. Potential : whose effect (outcome) is not immediate (is under development).

I think you'd probably agree that it's possible in many cases that individuals do not achieve their potential as well, due to any number of circumstances.

Yes, potential is the outcome we have the potential to generate. Not necessary the outcome that we get.

Do we measure a knife's sharpness by how many things it cuts? Is a knife with a very keen edge that is created and then destroyed without cutting anything said to be "less sharp" than a butter knife which merrily slices butter for decades?

Even though the knife never cut anything, we can still say it was sharper than the butter knife. It had a greater potential to cut things.

Intelligence is the same thing. Measuring things solely by their outcome is absurd.

Sharpness isn't made of erosion. Sharpness is made of a successful combination of hardness, density, and angularity. Erosion isn't the outcome of sharpness.

Intelligence is the same thing. It is made of intellectual successes, because it grows by understanding, thus solving, issues.

those questions usually involve 3 or 4 objects and ask you to deduce the missing object based on the pattern formed by the other 2 or 3...it's true that spatial manipulation of objects is often required, but the primary test is for pattern recognition, not spatial visualization

    Nope.

The unconscious stack is a myth.
