Okay, so I used to do search engine optimization for a small company, but the company downsized because my boss doesn't have time for his business venture anymore. :(
Anyway, the job really appealed to my introverted side because it allowed me to be online and not really have to deal with too many people. Also, I like to write so the whole article marketing thing was a breeze for me.
Alas, as I was a contractor I do not receive unemployment benefits so I have to go find one of those real world things... what are they called? Oh yeah! A job!
I was originally thinking of opening up a few niche sites to get some AdSense incoming coming in, but I really need to find a job now instead of later since I recently filed for divorce and am back at the parents place and I would like to not live in my mom's basement. (Although I really live in my sister's old bedroom.)
I was thinking what I could do is get a real world job and create niche sites for long term income in my extra time.
So as for a real world job, I live in kind of a ghetto/rural-esque area where businesses still have web 1.0 websites and don't even know what SEO is. So on that front, I'm not going to find a job.
I have been trying to think of some introverted jobs for myself and here are jobs I've applied for:
guest room attendant at the casino
housekeeper at the hospital
snack bar attendant
mcdonalds (like I said, I NEED a job)
Some places I've been considering are bakeries, flower shops, etc... but nothing that really appeals to me as an introvert.
I used to work in a book warehouse which was great but I ended up walking out because I am really sensitive to cold and it was like 50 degrees in my area at work and I couldn't take it anymore, so obviously I can't work there anymore.
I live in a particularly depressed area of the country and actually a county kind of near mine has the highest unemployment rate in the country... so yeah, finding ANY job is going to be rough, let alone a nice, comfy introvert job.
Any input?

1Thanks

I know it's kind of a guy-ish job but at least half of my coworkers were women (they did more of the coordinating part). Does this sound appealing to you?
