I'm a double major... neuroscience and psych.

I actually interviewed an organisational psychologist the other day... there's a video on youtube, but I think I might edit myself out of it before I show you guys! haha. It was actually really insightful, and she was an excellent speaker too (I think she was an entj) Something really hit me, which I never even thought about before... I asked her why she wanted to pursue organisational psychology, and she said she wanted to work with a broad spectrum of people... the 85% (or majority) of people and personalities, rather than the 15% or so, you'd work with in clinical psychology.

I'm curious what psychology is like in other countries....

I started as a Journalism and Poli Sci major, now I'm going to get my certification to become a drug counselor. I plan to finish my BA since I only have a year left and then go get my masters in psychology.

I hope to persue my masters in environmental psychology. Your surroundings have a huge impact on your wellbeing. I think its underestimated.

Studies have shown that just looking at nature can reduce blood pressure, anxiety and pain. Certain music has proven to reduce seizures, and on the other side noise can promote stress. This is whats been proven through empirical studies, makes me wonder what the impact of other environmental stimulli has.

Gotcha. What about..... chords? Musical chords. Why would one note dropped a half step cause a major chord (happy chord) to become a minor chord (sad one ... or angry depending on how you hit it). It's interesting that both anger and sadness are associated with minor. It's a little obvious..... but it produces those feelings..... why? What about them correlates with our feelings?

Have you ever heard christian music? Have you noticed how in the chord structure... very often..... there are notes that stay still the entire time while the root notes are changing from major to the relative minor and then to ... something I don't have a label for but I can see it my head.... that's not helpful lol. ANYWAY point is..... there are notes that stay the same throughout..... almost like it's a metaphor for how christians are supposed to be. While the chords change (aka life and experience) .... those certain notes stay the same (aka hope love belonging etc.). I'm not religious but they consistently play these sorts of chords and I think it's because it produces the right feeling.

the same goes with rythm Want to relax? play something with a steady rythm of less than 60 beats per minute. Your heart rate will be in sync with the slow tempo.
