This is a discussion on Christianity, Atheism and Mean Behavior within the The Debate Forum forums, part of the Topics of Interest category; ...
Weak atheism, aka: agnosticism, (I don't know if there is a god) is not.
I used to be a strong atheist, but now I am a weak atheist. I don't know. No one does. I will live my life like the natural world is all there is, because for me that is more than enough.
Weak atheism = "I'm not certain, but I haven't seen enough evidence to believe in God."
Agnosticism = "I don't believe that God exists or doesn't, because it is completely unknowable."
But keep in mind that the same distinction can be made with theists.
We have the devout Christian (or Muslim, etc.)
And then we also have the Christian agnostic or Christian existentialist, etc.
They might say: "I'm not certain, but I have seen enough evidence to believe in God."
I just wanna fuck God in the asshole.
....what does that make me?
Apart from a heathen.....
An abstract, surreal pervert? You told me you weren't into anal.

I agree that you can't prove a negative, but what if what the bible says is true, that the evidence of God is so obvious, men will be held without excuse? Just because it's faith it doesn't mean it's invalid. I think that's an opinion based on bias. I am interested in checking out any ''significant and logical arguments" against the existence of the Judeo-Christian God.
Plus, I'm still waiting for the missing link... Maybe it's missing for a reason? I love that we're free to debate this issue. Our freedom is too precious to try to force anyone or manipulate anyone into believing a certain way; each individual can decide for him or herself.
Also, Azrael suggested that Christanity accepts unreasonable axioms and seeks to substantiate them, but I don't know what criteria is used for determining an axiom is unreasonable. I wonder if certain personality types are more likely to have faith in a creator, especially if we're more naturally 'other' centered and forward (future) thinking.
Really enjoy hearing everyone's view!
