Most of the post in the game forum are one word post. Should this be counted as a legit post to the status of a users post count?
I would just like to point out that it is quite unfair for people that make constructive sentences.

no .
I feel that if the purpose of this forum is to promote self-discovery, your decision to deny game posts as "meaningful' is an invalidation of the use of creative problem-solving as the method some of us feel most comfortable using to achieve the goals you claim to value. I do not feel comfortable participating in debates, and the games allow me the safety to freely engage in self-exploration through creativity. If you are going to do this, then why not say that the art and poetry is invalid too, because it serves the same purpose?
how d'you mean "constructive," lance?
My problem is not with creativity but by the validity of a post. So those who have 1k+ post that post 1 word or even 1 letter will be viewed as advanced members while people with 300 post who actually post constructive sentences be viewed as newbies? This is an unfair system for everyone I believe.

that last post is gonna draw some anger I think... just warning you.
It's a different kind of thought... but its not necessarily no thought. I'd say I'd put as much effort into any of the game posts as I do into any of my normal posts on here, just because these come more naturally to me. There's also a wide variety of posts out in the normal forum that are not constructive... and if what snail says is true, then there are at least some posts in the game section that count as constructive. It seems like a pretty subjective judgment... which I guess is expected, being F-types. What I can say though, as someone who doesn't really post in the games section, is that i could really care less about the post count. I personally woulda just left it so that all posts count unless someone complained, so this never woulda come up.
It is as if Lance didn't even read my arguments in order to respond to them. He just repeated his opinion without adding any new information. His response was his way of saying, again, that my posts didn't have meaning because my methods of self-discovery didn't fit into his idea of the appropriate or normal structure he had already decided was the only "real" way. He measures value by post length, when a single word might have as much thought and meaning behind it as some of my more detailed responses in the other threads. My post count was almost at 1000, and I was curious to see what would happen to the little bar by my name. That isn't the main reason I am upset, though. Mostly it is the feeling of being personally attacked by his opinion that my process of self-exploration is less valid than the process that "acceptable" people use.Quote: Originally posted by Lance

Most of my posts are in the games sections, because that is where I am most comfortable being myself.

Look snail, I just came home from a 12 hour school session so my post will be short and to the point. I don't know how I personally attacked you because this rule affects everyone. I am looking out for whats best for the general members not the individual. I still don't quite understand your reasoning because it is very unfair for people that post sentences. However, I'll look at what all the members will have to say before I enable post to count in the game forum but no matter the results I will still disagree with your argument.
By the way, this is what you said on your "I'm making random threads to get Cafe Gold so I can feed my pet."
Well, if they are going to be using this technique to feed their pets, it is best for them to know how to do it efficiently, to avoid cluttering the forums with lasting spam. I'm not saying that I do it.... anymore. Once Angela reached level 100, I kind of lost interest in acquiring gold. I don't care about post count, because to do so would just be silly.
