i don't like the term artificial. what's the difference between fake and natural? women make life in their uterus, but i guess that's natural? it's very vague. i prefer synthetic life to artificial life and synthetic intelligence to artificial intelligence.

I prefer not even making a distinction.

If they do everything in their power to predict the problems that may occur, then I think the positives will far outweigh any moral dilemma. In fact in my opinion, morals shouldn't really be involved full stop in the decision to move forward with this idea.

I would have to agree. scientific morals are a necessity to ensure that proper, ,safe, and accurate results are obtained, but the public's opinion (who really understand very little in most cases) should not control the pursuit of scientific advancement. this has the potential to solve soooo many problems that would otherwise be unsolvable.

well, probably the one that says that it's against the law to do these things naturally If there were truly "laws" then we wouldn't be able to do it.
