I've created multiple threads similar to this issue, usually about truths or some other thing that often gets me the same predictable response that I expect to hear, one that I really don't think anyone actually wants and yet they have somehow deceived themselves to believe that they are so righteous they truly have fallen into their own lies.
So I decided to try to word it differently, to finally try to get people to admit to themselves that there is no real difference, and that the hypocrisy that they cling so tightly to is just a sham. And yet I doubt I will, people will always claim to be nobler than that. Well should be fun either way, lets see how it goes.
This is the statement I always hear, "You would eventually find out the truth, and it would hurt you even more later on."
and you know what, I call Bullshit. Truth or not pain is pain. later or now, it's all real and it all sucks. We as a species will do anything to try to avoid it when we can. Even those of us who wallow in self pity, which I myself have been guilty of, we are doing this because it is more painful to stand up and move forward. If you think otherwise than show me I'm wrong.
Now to the point of the thread!
sorry about that, went off on a tangent and I just don't want the same repeated arguments I have heard in my other threads.
Lets say you have a fantasy world all built on lies, let's call it the Matrix, (yea real original so what :P)
If you are happy here how is it any different from being happy somewhere else? You are going to say that living a lie you will eventually find out and then you'll be hurt, but I hate to break it too you happiness is not guaranteed ever! You probably have better chances remaining happy surrounded by lies than you do facing complete honesty. AGAIN that is not the real point of the thread.
The point is what are the fundamental difference between them? Are there any? if you are happy for 12 months in the matrix, or happy for 12 months in Zion, why does it matter? Don't give me that shit about "oh I'd just know" cause you wouldn't, your only deceiving yourself if you really believe that.
