Whaaaaaaaat! Wow... that's amazing!
I feel like some sort of news hipster. I saw this a while back on Reddit months ago.
Let's just say, people love this guy on Reddit.
When he won an Emmy for his tv show, he was at home making dinner for his kids, and tweeted that he had apparently won something.

This is how it's supposed to work.
I know there's a need to protect one's work, but DRM artificially allows businesses to stay in business when maybe they shouldn't. Nobody has a right to force others to ensure that they are successful, and this actually prevents normal company death which is a big part of healthy competition.
Long story short: if people aren't willing to pay you based on your merit, then you aren't worthy to be in business and should let it die like it's supposed to.

Somebody should tell this to whoever came up with SOPA...
Damn where's this guy live? I'm gonna go panhandle in front of his place if I can find it.
OT: Yep he's got it right, screw the middle man! I've been saying that forever!
I think that's pretty much what Steam does with games, and it seems to have been very successful.

Yeah, Steam kind of does that because if you paid for a game you can play it on any computer with Steam that has the game by logging into your account. So the right to play the game is based on your account, and not the game assets.
Good example is that I have two accounts, one of them has Portal and the other has TF2, on my TF2 account Portal shows as available since both can use the files but I can't play it on that account unless I pay for that account to use it.
