    North Korea Begins Fueling Rocket

I wonder if this a pretext.
    • To distract people about a particular law or policy such as the cyber-security bills, or the authorization to use drones in the US
    • To allow people to score political points prior to election
    • Perhaps to justify that Executive Order Obama modified recently to allow the government to take control of everything and draft anybody at will?

It was also the grandad's 100th anniversary. However, I guess it failed. I'm still a bit surprised they fessed up to it.

It could also be a pretext for North Korea wanting to be respected among the world powers. North Korea doesn't really get much attention, so I don't find any justification for those speculations.

North Korea's goal, and it has been this way for many years now is to create political outcries from the United States.

They like to put themselves into a situation where they're given ultimatums and tough-talk, but at the same time have rewards held out to them as bartering chips.

They want the West to stack up more rewards for them, and the best way to do this is to create panics.

Then we'll reward North Korea yet again, by sitting down to talk, and giving them a bunch of treats to quit being a nuisance.

It's like giving a spoiled child what he wants to get him to stop crying. We've been doing it for years, and the result is obvious. How else will North Korea get more treats from us if they don't cause a big stink?

    Solution:

    Ignore them.

Let them throw a tantrum that violates other countries sovereignty.

Pressure China to do something, or the UN will attack North Korea.

China invades North Korea and controls it. Let them have it. The citizens will be better off, South Korea would be better off. After China installs a new government, they can discuss the idea of reunification... or not at all, up to China. Who cares? Non-unified Korea at peace is better than a militarized one.
