Now to verify I went to the whitehouse.gov website and pulled up the exact form in this video. I don't have that image editor he has, but even just looking at it, I can see it's been heavily tampered with.

I gave this issue no credence until seeing that video and the suspicious document.

Maybe he's still a citizen but since they couldn't find an actual document they fabricated one?

It still begs the question what are they hiding ... or that maybe he's not a citizen. Very odd.

PS - I suggest you save a copy of that document. I doubt it'll be up there as a PDF that much longer. They'll likely switch it to an image file like they should have done.

I guess this was old news, I just never heard about it the first time... still I can't believe the media backed him up on this fake and never asked why it's fake?

That is interesting, very interesting. I did not trust the video and looked at the file myself, made sure the site was authentic, and saw the exact same things this man saw. It is obvious which parts of the text are edited, and panning fast through the pdf, I noticed that it even loaded the authentic image first and then the other layers on top.

I am puzzled. On the one hand, this is very sketchy and could mean any number of things, on the other hand, it falls under simple technicalities of the president, when there are much larger issues with the entire political structure.

Good find, it makes me think.

Edit: I never heard about this. Er, well, I suppose I did, in that birthers didn't believe his certificate was real, but no one really elaborated on this.

Edit2: Thanks paragon, that makes perfect sense, and I learned something neat about technology today ^^

I'm sure you could find a story on this at Fox News somewhere, hehe

Oh that makes a bit of sense then.

I have performed this process on a number of documents and the OCR readability performed on Obama's certificate is real, it's not a forgery. Not to mention if it had been digitally played with there are ways to detect even those faults that occur from re-saving the image upon completion of the task even without the visible layers.

In all honesty anything beginning with this phrase is bound to make me suspicious: I was never a birther but

LoL guys I think it's real now, I watched that video Paragon posted, that explains the discrepancy. If someone presents me logical evidence, I generally believe it.

The original video had a false assumption, the assumption that adobe illustrator wouldn't modify a scanned document but it does do that automatically. Since I didn't understand how illustrator worked, I was confused.

I am NOT the type of person that blindly believes someone because I perceive them to be honest; that's how naive people get lied to by governments and slick individuals such as Obama who has repeatidly lied.

Why should I believe a liar when he says his birth certificate is real. Now that I see it, I believe it... though I never cared to begin with because I was willing to give even a liar the benefit of the doubt... until I saw that first video. Anyway, it's cleared up. :)
