Women should be dressing themselves for themselves, not for strangers, in my opinion.

    NOT ME.

(Please don't say I'm being insensitive or some bullshit and don't debate with me,I'm just saying I don't want to see a
    man in a skirt)
    Any particular reason why?

Well maybe they should think it looks nice too!

This is the part that confounds me. Women seem to dress for other women. It's as if the thing that makes them happiest is doing something for others under the guise of doing it for themselves.

I think that's because society likes to make women compete with each other, and the media especially are guilty of this.

The thing is, I think women actually control and enforce cultural norms (men tend to control the legal ones) in society. Why would they set it up that way? Which of them are benefiting?

How do women control and enforce cultural norms when the vast majority of societies are at their very root discriminating against women? Women have had to fight against cultural norms to get some equality with men, and cultural norms are very much set up in favour of the societally dominant sex rather than women.

This is why I set off legal norms. On the social stuff, say how I raise the kid, a woman will correct me. Or on clothing, a woman is more likely to note what I'm wearing is "inappropriate". In terms of behavior, a man who's too passive will be shunned by women, ergo forcing him to 'man up'. Also, in terms of who runs extended families, women seem to take the lead role, organizing the get togethers, maintaining the family history, etc..

Men, in their normal state as they get older (youngin's live life differently) tend to leave each other alone on how they live their lives. Women seem to have a keener interest in those issues, and less fear then men do about sharing their viewpoints.

Because society brings women up by encouraging their more nurturing side.

Because society has brought women in general up to care more about clothes. Men in general couldn't care less, because we don't have the same upbringing in general.

In terms of behaviour, a man who's too passive will be shunned by women, ergo forcing him to 'man up'.
This is because society has instilled, in women, the idea that a active, dominating and strong man is always preferable to a passive, quiet man.

It's easier for men to not care about such things, because men in general have easier lives in society.

So, then you agree that women control culture, with the caveat that they're forced to.
