    Introverted Vs. Extraverted Thinking (Usefulness)

I understand an introverted thinker can naturally see the flaws in systems and structures that are apparent to them and that is a great skill. I just can't understand the purpose of extraverted thinking other than to be corrected or made better by introverted thinking. Could anyone give me basic ideas about how Te is beneficial or actually make Ti better?

Afterwards; In this day and age, which form do you think is actually more useful? I would really appreciate real-life examples as to why if you can.

For all you indecisive people, I wont get mad if you say they are equally useful.

Useful? Both can be used to accomplish whatever ends the dominant thinking type desires. The dominant function is, after all, the ego's vehicle for carrying out what it wants to do.

From my understanding, Ti is better at creating ideas, but it doesn't really care whether anyone else can understand it, and flaw finding. Te's better at coming up with ideas everyone can use. So basically, Te is a good scientist trait while Ti is more for the next Einstei-type ideas.

I just want to make this aware. E and I arent whether or not you like being social, but rather how stimuli effects you. For me, being ENTP, I am more aware and perceptive of things going on outside of me. For a while i thought i was INTP for the reason that i wasnt a very social person, but i had ENTP traits.

Extroverts will be more easily distracted by external stimuli, Introverts will be more distracted by their own thoughts and emotions.

Any function can be useful or useless depending on the competency of the user.

Is "useful" the new word for "better"?

    What is this thread?

Each type of thinking is useful in it's own way.
Just like each function is useful in it's own way.

All cognitive functions are equal and none are superior to others...

... however what the OP is asking is in "current" times and in current western society which is more useful in a purely objective sense. In this regard I'd have to go with extraverted thinking, because it desires to see the ideas of the type to become a reality and causes constructs formed in the mind to become actual tangible and usuable things a lot more than introverted thinking.

All cognitive functions are equal in regards to value, but when it comes down to pure utilitarian usefulness extraverted thinking is probably a more desired trait in capitalist society. It's a lot more proactive by nature.

Te worship is pretty much the same as Fe hate. The problem is, Dominant function is pretty much lost/useless without the inferior and very honestly, what I've understood is that the core point of Jung was to make people consciously aware of their weakness / i.e. inferior function -- and develop it ---

Sole reliance on dominant / aux functions is [imo] a sure-fire way to make poor decisions / rational choices on all counts.

someone has to devise the system; someone else has to direct others to implement it.

the world could not function with just one and not the other; both are equally important.
