I believe in MBTI. as the classification of what already exists. MBTI is a guide, not a limitation. People that tell you you can't access certain functions because you're iNNATELY NOT BORN WITH IT are silly. You can access it.

    I'm providing a possibility.
Yes, but it's an empty possibility, because it's based off of nothing coherent. Everyone has every function, but 4 are conscious, and 4 unconsciously influence personality. If they all had equal influence over personality, a person would probably be psychotic. Reread my previous post again, since I made some updates to it.

I read your update, and I understand the support for the MBTI theory... and that this may seem completely empty. But I hope you can look into my post for a second and not dismiss it entirely. If it doesn't fit the general population's principle system, that's fine. I'm just throwing it out there for whoever's willing to believe it and put it into practice.

I have had this conversation with someone else before. What we concluded at the end of the very long conversation was that although preferences can not change, the access to those pathways can. No human is robotic / black and white enough to flat out have 4 functions that are conscious and 4 that are unconscious. We don't work that way. All functions are to some degree conscious.

Then, like neurons, certain pathways can be made so that access to those functions can be reached. The more frequent we access these pathways, the easier we are able to cross the threshold to slip into, hone into, and have control over that function.

For a kinesthetic example, there are certain muscles in our body that we normally don't use. When we first start using them, they hurt and don't exactly function the way we want. But after a while, they become ours, they become strong, and they assimilate to how we react to environment to become part of our reaction to our environment.

Personally, this has been working for me. I am being as genuine as I can when I say I have taken on such an insane strengthening of Te that many times, I feel my preference for Te is more dominant than that for Ne.... Though I know that is probably not true. The case is, however, that I have indeed accessed Te for so long and so actively, that it has become mine.

On the other hand, I have not assembled any group study of this on any population sample. So I won't try to assure to you it works for everyone, or it works at all. Nonetheless, I want to toss this up as a possibility, a very likely one. Despite the lack of empirical evidence (Heck, Freud didn't even have empirical evidence until much later, anyway), the possibility is still very valid and should be looked into.

Say, take a turn and look at it pragmatically and ignore the theories. It's worked for me. I could care less whether it was through some other coincidental process within the process I delineated that I got here. I got here by doing this. Someone should at least try the same process and see if they get there. My bets are they do.

While I'm enjoying the input/debate, it turns out everything was much simpler than that. I just found out a few days ago.

I'm not in a Fi loop, I'm hormonal.

    I'm pregnant.

(3 months, apparently...since I'm so underweight, my cycle's very irregular, so yes it took that long to get tested.)

Since I'm medically unable to keep the baby (nor would I choose to...pregnancy/childbirth/kids terrify me), I should be back to normal next week. (Kind of)

All my birth control methods failed me at once, and I thought all this time I was turning into a rabid F....God is certainly trolling the shit out of me.

So if anyone else is being whiny/moody for a T...pick up an Early Response Pregnancy Test.

(yes, even males. N's believe in possibilities, after all. :P)
