13Thanks This is a discussion on I know now and I didn't want to within the Cognitive Functions forums, part of the Personality Type Forums category; yes, completely nuts, well I'll just have to live with it I guess...
yes, completely nuts, well I'll just have to live with it I guess
??????????
Why would you say that?
Your type doesn't limit you. You limit you.
Go have fun. Go be weird.
You're wasting your time by saying this!
That's like saying, "Okay, I'm an ISTJ. I guess that means I'll just be dwelling on the past all the time."
Slapping some labels on you doesn't make you a different person. It makes you the same person with different labels.
Say I took an apple. I decided to refer to it as a "Floo-floo". But the floo-floo I am holding in my hands, still is a red, juicy fruit even if I claim it is a floo-floo, asparagus, or walrus.
Exactly. Don't change yourself to fit the labels, change the labels to fit you!! It actually works and helps you gain clearer insights into what MBTI/Jung is really all about! ^^
Am I the only one who thinks that the OP may be referring to anything related to MBTI?
Can we please start an Apple Empire and take over all of psychology with apple analogies and have people type themselves as different apples?
I prefer Granny Smith myself, though I don't know if I would type as that one, I'm not sour. I'm not sweet either; I'm pretty unique, slightly crisp but tasty. Maybe Pink Lady?
Irrelevant post is as irrelevant as the original one.
Stupid apples! I didn't even realize it.
Clearly it is my unconscious yearning for apples but I suppress it because it doesn't agree with the ego's preferred point of view of wanting cheetos. I project my desire for apples onto other people and make them examples for things, even though the person obsessed with apples is really myself. Now I understand that I just need to swallow my pride and grab a red delicious. Thanks @Spades!
