My speech starts out rapid and I can be lost on what I say, followed by short, clipped mutters that may or may not be coherent, with my tone rising dramatically and concluded flatness and a touch of sarcasm.

    So, Ne-Ti-Fe-Si.

Thinking - Short, clipped: My primary form of speaking. Usually used to conserve energy and annoyance.

Sensing - Monotone, flat: My default tone, although I'm guessing it results less from Si than from the lack of emotional interference. However, I use it as a contingency plan.

Intuition - Rapid, can get lost in what is being said: Speech pattern used when I wish to elaborate upon something. Usually punctuated by pauses.

Feeling - Very modulated, with emotion: Last resort. Only used in arguing with my Feeling mother when she's having her period, or when my principles are mangled beyond repair by someone.

Mostly I'm the above typed, but when I get upset or when I'm nervous I can be like the thinking or sensing.

    Seems a bit contradictory?

I certainly fit the feeling description, but I don't think any of the others.

For the most part, monotone and flat. I agree with Trigun though. When I talk about a big interest of mine, I will be very non-linear and forget my original point. I had to learn to catch myself after going off on my own tangent and say "My point is..." in those cases.

I think relative to other feelers, though, I have a bit more difficulty modulating my voice. Rather, I've adopted a consistent kind and gentle tone that I carry through my speech. Also, I always speak in a passive voice.

If you met me in real life, you'll find that the things I say and the way I say them are drastically different than how I express myself in writing here (my writing tends to make me seem more aggressive and daring when I sound much calmer in reality).

Yes, this is pretty much dead on. Being an intuitive, I frequently go off into tangent land and sometimes lose the point of the conversation but I am quick to notice this and rivive the original topic, I don't always see it as a negative thing, its just my way of exploring options. My voice fluctuates a lot, it goes to monotone when I am nervous - I almost sound automated to hitting a range of emotional tones at just the right time to clarify on a point as I think how you say something makes a lot of difference. Since I talk alot about political, wordly stuff, I want my points to come across with conviction which kinda makes me feel like a politician but thats not my intent, I intend for my words to have substance.

Short, abstract, and full of broken pauses that may not seem natural as I search for precisely the right word or expression.

I find myself tripping over my own tonugue, especially when I'm trying to talk out ideas. It's like I've never heard my voice before, or something.
    Over and over. >.<

Then again, I myself in positions where my speech patterns and tone mimic all of the choices (or a blending thereof) on the list.

Apparently I use strange comparisons and weird metaphors...talk fast with frequent breaks to think...so people have a very hard time understanding and often go WTF.
