Is it useful to try to understand something that might be true under some conditions that might kinda indicate a larger Truth that might never be known but perhaps just by trying to get there we can come to a greater understanding of where we really are? Just because it's good to try to understand things and to know where we really are? I mean, no payoff, really. Ever. Is that useful?

I'm guessing anyone who would condition their appreciation of philosophy based on some determination of usefulness would probably say "no".

A friend of mine is a clear sensor and is great with philosophy. To an extent I envy him because he has a mind for specifics and details, which I struggle with.

That's quite an interesting theory. Although I don't think the theory really works for me (I'm pretty sure I am a sensor).

I have this radical position where I think about life on my own, make my own conclusions, and don't bother arguing about it.

Isn't it great? You can participate and discuss what really matters with little to no prerequisite knowledge!

If you read somewhere that Sensors can't like philosophy, immediately disregard everything you've ever read from that source and completely start over with your typology study.

Careful, you'll set off the independent thought alarm.
