Just took the cognitive functions test... I don't get it.

I'm (most likely) an INFP -- at least, that's what I believed until now. This is my result:

Introverted Feeling (Fi) ||||||||||||||||||| 8.62
Introverted Intuition (Ni) ||||||||||||||| 6.6
Introverted Sensation (Si) |||||||||||||| 6.24
Extroverted Intuition (Ne) ||||||||||||| 5.96
Extroverted Feeling (Fe) |||||||||| 4.345
Extroverted Thinking (Te) |||||||| 3.47
Extroverted Sensation (Se) |||| 1.48
Introverted Thinking (Ti) ||| 0.69

The Fi is there alright. But Ne is too low and Si too high! The test, though, insists that I'm probably an INFP (secondarily, INFJ and ISFJ). What relative correlation is there between the function strength and the MBTI type?

Well, remember that tests are generally inaccurate. Especially if you used the one on PerC. That always gives odd results. The one cognitive functions test that tends to be more accurate is keys2 cognition. ^_^

The best way to understand your type is to understand your personality and to understand the system of identifying parts of your personality. The tests are just indicative. Based on your answers, it suggests a label of Fi-dom but could also be Pi dom. On its own it suggests strongly that you are introverted, lol.

From that test you are most likely an INFP. Your highest extroverted function is Ne and your highest introverted function is Fi. You have a lower thinking preference in general as well. Fe is too low for any kind of extroverted Feeler. Not all tests are accurate though.
