Thanks for this topic, covers are awesome.
Slayer covering Psychedelic, it's just awesome:
Techno cover of Sonic Youth, far better than I expected:
Not a fan of Marilyn Manson, but he did a decent cover:
Weezer did a few Nirvana covers, they good a good job bad Audio though:
Sonic Youth doing Iggy Pop:
Coheed And Cambria's cover of "Your Love" is lovely. At the time I first heard this, I didn't have an appreciation for acoustic music, and this was probably the first acoustic song I ever really fell for. The vocals might be a little high for some people, but you'll get used to it. Original version by The Outfield.

I agree with that version of Smooth Criminal being better, hehe.
Anyways, here's a one I absolutely love. The original is soo amazing too, but I think I like this a little more.
Watching that video was how I got into Fleet Foxes in the first place (although now, I'm starting to think the original is better...though the cover is wonderful)
Here's some:
Sonic Youth's cover of The Carpetnter's cover of Superstar by Delaney and Bonnie (sorry for being confusing!) Pretty famous because it was on Juno I believe, awesome awesome. <3
A Perfect Circle's cover of John Lennon's Imagine, I wouldn't say it's better than the original for this one, because it probably isn't. Just a completely different take that I enjoy immensely:
Jeff Buckley's take on Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah:
Gary Jule's Cover of Mad World by Tears for Fears (though I love the original too)
Nirvana's Cover of Jesus Don't Want me for a Sunbeam by The Vaselines:
Probably many more I missed, but those are the ones I love from top of my head.![]()

Buckley's cover of Hallelujah is my favourite cover. Cohen is a master lyricist, and Buckley's voice is just perfect.
I also like his cover of Bob Dylan's farewell angelina.
I like a lot of Bob dylan covers..
Like Hendrix's all along the watch tower
