    Fans of Ninja Tune/Big Dada??

Okay, so my question here is: Who here is a fan of Great, Great Britain's greatest record labels: Ninja Tune and/or Big Dada Records? I AM! :D

So I was (am) just an average American girl who used to be a regular at Weebl's Stuff all of the time in 2005. Especially back when I was a young lassie, when Weebl and Bob were still rolling on pink backgrounds, and ONLY pink backgrounds. Being the fans of Ninja Tune they were (they would put Wagon Christ as the BGM of their flash videos all of the time), my finding out about them was inevitable, and so was me loving the WHOLE record label. Big Dada, too. They're practically affiliated.
I LOVE the feel of British Hip-Hop and their Breakbeat Jazz brakes. It's all 100% amazing and has inspired me countless times over the years with a quaint, lucid feel that cannot be replicated anywhere else.
    great acid placebo

I have so much appreciation for Ninja and Big Dada, and so long as they have sweet merch, I am more than happy to supply them with my Credit Card info overseas to Keep Them Solid Steel. :D

So, Do you love them? If you love them, why do you love them?! Adult Swim's predecessor, Toonami, had Ninja Tune's music on their broadcast. (Adult Swim still does, don't they?). Did you find out about them there? What do you think of them if you've never heard of them before? Awesome, huh? 8D

I've only heard a couple of artists form Big Dada (cLOUDDEAD and Antipop Consortium) and it's been a while since I've listened to either so I can't say much about them. I've heard a lot more from Ninja Tune, though. I remember about a year or so ago I was getting into trip hop, turntablism, instrumental hip hop, and similar genres and couldn't help but notice most of what I was listening to was on the same label. If I had to pick a favorite Ninja Tune artist, I'd probably go with Kid Koala, if only because he's the main one that got me into that kind of music.

While we're on the subject of good British labels, my favorite would probably be Warp. Ninja Tune may be more consistent in terms of quality, but I still prefer Autechre, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, and so on at their best to Ninja Tune's artists at their best. I'm not sure if Toonami ever used anything from Warp, but I know I've heard Aphex Twin's "Alberto Balsalm" and Squarepusher's "Hello Meow" in Adult Swim bumpers between commercials.

I agree. There's a ton of good labels out there. I might just be limited to Ninja Tune/Big Dada since that's the only label I've ever really fully researched. Bands like Aphex Twin, I have heard of and respect, but I never paid attention to the label. I'll research them, though... because those brits make DAMN good music. :D

How did Cartoon Network's Toonami/Adult Swim get into that? They sound like really cool people!

Awesome...someone else who likes Ninjatune on here. I'm a huge Squarepusher, Aphex Twin, Autechre fan although they're all on Warp haha. I know I've heard some good artists on ninja tune and have dl some of their music but can't recall any of them off the top of my head.

I love labels like ninjatune, warp, ghostly intl. and so on cuz' they have so many original artists and they inspire me to work on my own little bit of electronic music too. Squarepusher's my favorite electronic musician though i'd have to say.

Seven of cups: what are some of your favorite artists/ songs/ albums? Electronic wise that is.
