Fist of the North Star is the best thing to come out of Asia since Sonny Chiba in the Street Fighter and the Story of Ricky.

As for my own additions, these are the first that come to mind.

Higurashi, Hellsing, FLCL, and Haruhi Suzumiya. Also, Graveyard of the Fireflies was amazing for a movie I'll probably never watch again.
