I read the summary that you posted, which is good enough if you ask me. I don't know much about Kanye West, but there are two things about him I'd like to say:

-I like his music alot more than most mainstream rappers.
-He comes across to me as a strange and paranoid person.

And thanks for the A Silver Mt. Zion praise. I could tell by your screenname that you were going to like my entry in that thread. But I think that "Your Hand In Mine" sounds joyous and spiritually beautiful, not sad by any stretch.

And yet... if it is all an act, he has in fact given both Taylor Swift and Beyonce (for her touching move in giving Taylor her spotlight) a boost in publicity and popularity...at the cost of his already questionable reputation.

I couldn't say. I don't think I particularly care one way or another. His music is catchy, but he's not really at the top of my playlist...or my list of celebrities I give a crap about :P
