Hayao Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi are Fucking Gods

So much I can write about these two masters. Miyazaki is the master of animated movies and Hisaishi the master of music. When the two work together the outcome is magical.

Please say as you like and I will comment back. I don't know where to start really

    hahaha... wow, man.

I haven't seen Princess Mononoke or Spirited Away but I absolutely loved Howl's Moving Castle. I guess I'll have to see one (or both) of the former now.

I'm not crazy about Porco Rosso or Nausicaa, but Princess Mononoke and Spirited Away are two of my favorite movies. :)

I just spent some time at utube looking up some clips. Beautiful imagery, that is for sure. Love the music also.

    Ok, seriously now.

Every movie by Hayao Miyazaki I have liked. "The Grave of the Fireflies" was perhaps the saddest movie I have ever seen, though. I remember crying a lot when watching it, plus being pretty out of it afterwards.

Grave was made by Isao Takahata and the music by Yoshio Mamiya. The movie was made under Studio Ghibli though which leads many to think Miyazaki. Miyazaki and Takahata are both co-founders of the company.

That said, i think I mentioned it in another post about Grave being the saddest movie I have ever seen. Because of that I can't bring myself to see it again no matter how good it was :(

On a lighter note for all you parents I recommend that you show your youngest My Neighbor Totoro (Disney re-dubbed it with updated voice tracks)

and for your younger girls Kiki's Delivery Service (Spoiler Alert)

Also coming soon to a theatre near you is Miyazaki's newest release Ponyo
