A Crutch of Typology.

Jumping onto your type like a cheap hooker.
Often, when one discovered the glory that is typology, their life is changed. A growth cycle and life's mysteries are solved, "oh I see others are like me, I'm not crazy/weird", and people will make more sense.
Now, typology is a label. Nothing has really changed how you see people, merely you can place what you've thought. It's a gratifying thing to "peg" someone. It can give you a power of sorts, or just a knowing that feels nice.
With "knowledge", assumptions are formed, bias. People can use their type as an excuse to avoid other people, or even relish in their types dysfunctions. "I'm an XXXX, it's why I act this way, and you are an XXXX, you'll never understand". Using your type to excuse a behavior will put you backwards on your development. There's no need to grow if there' nothing wrong, because your type makes it OK.
Think about the people not interested in Typology, the way they deal with their problems/shortcomings/whateva' (regardless of type) is different. They have nothing other than what they know to rely on, they just live.
(Perhaps this makes people over-type others as SJ, because they have to deal with things "like an SJ")
Typology can be very beneficial, but also can bring you to your lowest lows. Use it as a tool, not a guide.
