We (my mom and I) were renting a house and had been there for about 10 years, when my mom ran out of cash completely and ran out of money, naturally my landlord didn't fly for this, and kicked us out after 6 months of no rent.

I had gotten laid off in Oct, my job is seasonal. I filed for unemployment and took the responsibility for just about every expense we had (sans rent)....
