I present to you The Ni-Fe-Ti Masochism Tango. It's a common occurrence for me when my Ni-Fe-Ti functions basically duke it out on how to make a decision or how to respond to an idea.
*A new problem arises. And you have multiple ways to fix it*
Ni says: "You should do XYZ because trust me it's all going to work out well. SOMETHING, person, animal, whatever, is going to make things complicated but as long as you listen to me, it's all going to go well!"
Ti says: "Why are you listening to that nut? It makes no logical sense at all to do XYZ, so just do ABC because it's logical, nothing unexpected is going to come up and change things. Quit being so paranoid and do the logical thing!
*You chose the ABC plan because it makes sense and nothing is going to show up unexpectedly. Contrary to your wishes, something unexpected comes up and ruins your plans*
Ni says: "I told you, you should have done XYZ! You would have pleased yourself and others at the same time. Now you can still do XYZ but because you waited to long, expect some dissonance from inside yourself because other people personally want to do DEF. If you do XYZ you're basically choosing what you always wanted and that's a good thing right?"
Fe says: "IT'S NOT A GOOD THING. Forget XYZ, do the DEF plan, you don't want to look like a selfish bitch because you're doing something against the grain. The DEF plan ensures that you're make the maximum people happy which is the best thing right?"
Ni says: "Don't listen to Fe, remember the last time you went against your hunches and that created this whole problem. Just listen to me for now on okay"
Fe says: "DON'T LISTEN TO Ni. Please the people around you. It's going to created a host of other problems if you "lonewolf" it!"
*Ni and Fe continues to argue until the cows come home. If you choose Ni, expect your Fe to berate you for being selfish and hurting other's feelings. If you choose Fe, expect your Ni to tell you that you're not being true to the outlook of your vision."
