And now because no one asked for it and I'm slightly bored. The Book of Nym volume 3 Will go after the notion that we in fact have no reason to believe anything we see. (I could just simply say go read Descartes with the whole cogito ergo sum dealeo. But I figure if I'm gonna mention it might as well give a summary of the whole deal.)

This is one of those exsistential questions one of those things that you try and reason into submission only to truly find the only thing that reason...

A different take on the beauty of forgetting.

I can remember more then one piece of fiction extolling the virtue of forgetting. Not forgetting things in general but having your mind erased almost always of the bad memories. The tempting concept of erasing those things that haunt us. I however never really saw the benefit of it, not really for that purpose of it at least.

No it always registered in my mind as the perfect way for you to walk right back into that same situation and be miserable once again. That always seemed obvious...

Now from the title of the entry I think it's obvious this will be rather anti-Christmas. (Even though the line is from the only thing related with Christmas I truly enjoy. You see, once you acknowledge that evolution works for everything biological. The next step is too assume that all human behavior, whether a result of biology, or society can be explained and thus has no basis for free will. You see free will would require things too just happen for no reason what so ever. Be uncaused causations, if they weren't the choice wasn't really yours too start with. It was the result of your biological instincts and learned behavior. True free will, can not exist in a universe...
