I wonder if being nearly unable to get my hands on even a simple job is something relating to being an INTJ, or if it's just me.

I do know, however, that I am at all not attracted to any job offers that say "we seek extroverted, friendly people, and we can offer a nice bunch of people to work with".

Cleaning services! Why is it so difficult to get a job where the only thing I have to do is to wash toilets? You'd think they were up to here with toilet-washing people.

Yeah, employment vacancies can be like real estate by-lines:

"...are you bubbly, fresh and love working in a high paced environment? We need a new CEO...must love loud music..!"

    wwwhat?

Then they'll switch it around and ask for "expressions of interest" for a junior retail position in a shoe store! It's 2010, I suppose they do anything they like. Could be a hangover from the dotcom era when anyone with a PC could be a CEO. About the only thing you can be sure of is that they are thinking of a job, it may not actually exist but they're thinking of it, and even if no one replies it was fun anyways. If there's one thing in life people say you should take seriously but that you shouldn't really, it's the process of getting hired. It truly is a twilight zone. Being hired for most things is a people match. Toilet cleaners aren't people who clean toilets, it'll be an abstract collective trait they share, like a way of speaking, or a way of viewing the world. The toilet cleaning is mostly irrelevent. So when you discover you aren't of their tribe, that's a step forward I guess. Somewhere out there a job is coming towards you because of who you are and because you want one, which is exciting - you can't escape. In the mean time you get to live life in ways you wouldn't usually, which is cool too.

Ack, loud music! I can hardly handle listening to my own music if it's too loud.

I'm very much looking forward to that still-out-of-reach job. I have no clue of where or what it is, even. But yes, in the meantime I get to experience things I normally wouldn't even look at. I'll try to look positively at it, difficult as it may be.
