Why we must express ourselves...

This is my first blog post, so please forgive me if, for now, it is just a random smattering of ideas. I'm sure it'll develop more of a direction as time goes on.

If you're wondering if I really am an ISFP, I can tell you that it is 4:30 AM, and that there is still some work I need to get done for tomorrow, but I'm putting it off because there's other things I'd rather be doing. Like this!!

But writing is a great thing to do. I've actually found that I like writing more than I do reading, which is surprising because I love reading. But my point is that we all need some sort of creative/emotional outlet in our daily lives. It's part of keeping yourself emotionally healthy, I feel like, and that in turn affects our mental and physical health as well. It's all about harmony.

And, to be frank, I've never felt better about myself than when I'm making or have just made something that people will genuinely enjoy. A song, a poem, a story, a goofy Youtube vid, whatever. We all need to do something that stirs within our soul. When whatever you make then connects with another person on a deep level, you've made the world a better place.

Anyways, that's all I have for now folks. Cheers!

Hi MarkTwain:)) I've been reading posts here since last night and today decided to register. It made me so happy to know that there are others like me. I've been feeling guilty about being the way I'm since early childhood, basicaly feeeling like an alien in almost any social situation. I immigrated to the US in my early 20th and after some probing and thinking decided to study art. Here's what I've been thinking since yesterday: so many of us scatter our emotions, feelings, thoughts on mundane things. I came here now to say what you say (miarculous coinsidence or maybe not). Dear ISFPs, don't waste your gifts - you have a lot to give to the world. Other pesonality types don't see what you see, don't feel what you feel. God gave you these gifts so that you could make the world a better place. It's your duty to do so!!!! I'm putting here the link to my online gallery not to brag but to inspire. I haven't achieved anything yet but I know that I'm the happiest when I express myself creatively. I just want to inspire all of you dear ISFPs like MarkTwain here to express yourselves through art, music, poetry -whatever your heart desires. It's so easy to waste time on complaning about how no one understands me because I'm so "different" but it takes us nowhere. I've done so much of this. I've wasted 10 years of my life on this. Here and now I'm deciding to waste no more time on things that don't matter but persue my calling wholeheartedly and to the end whether I succeed by society standards or not...I'm a bit tipsy now, so please forgive me any grammar mistakes or overdramatizing:)) Thank you MarkTwain for giving me the courage to say what I wanted to say Artist Lala Aliyeva

Thank you, that's wonderful to hear! I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!
(Btw your work is great, there seems to be a certain depth to them that you don't see in alot of paintings today.)
