I just finished a fabulous book called "Boundaries in Marriage" by Christian authors Henry Cloud and John Townsend. It is fantastic!! It is something I feel everyone in a serious relationship should read. I felt very blessed to know my husband and I are boundary supporters and not boundary busters. It helped me see part of the painful experiences I've faced have been from running into boundary busters in my life. I went on to start reading their book, "Safe People" ...
I've been dreaming like mad lately! It is surprising because for years I could never remember a dream upon waking. But the past month or so I've awoken to vivid images and memories of dreams 3-4 times/week. An old Jewish proverb states "Don't pray for lighter burdens, pray for a stronger back". It would seem that in all religious texts, no matter your religion, God makes no apology for pain and suffering. In fact, I have come to understand there is a sacred relationship between suffering and spirituality, if we learn to listen and endure it well.
