After discovering ASMR on YouTube, I wanted to share some of the sounds that I've found relaxing....and often give me the magic tingles. What sounds are your triggers? (I know I haven't figured out my mic settings perfectly right yet; any tips?)
I just finished a fabulous book called "Boundaries in Marriage" by Christian authors Henry Cloud and John Townsend. It is fantastic!! It is something I feel everyone in a serious relationship should read. I felt very blessed to know my husband and I are boundary supporters and not boundary busters. It helped me see part of the painful experiences I've faced have been from running into boundary busters in my life.
I went on to start reading their book, "Safe People"
I've been dreaming like mad lately! It is surprising because for years I could never remember a dream upon waking. But the past month or so I've awoken to vivid images and memories of dreams 3-4 times/week. I started logging them and looking up symbols on websites like dreammoods.com dreambible.com, the cuirousdreamer.com, and dreamsymbolism.info.
I found this article very interesting! As well as this one.
I wish I could read about a comparative study done about dreams
An old Jewish proverb states "Don't pray for lighter burdens, pray for a stronger back". It would seem that in all religious texts, no matter your religion, God makes no apology for pain and suffering. In fact, I have come to understand there is a sacred relationship between suffering and spirituality, if we learn to listen and endure it well.
