My cousin, Janean, moved from California to live with Aunt Vicki. She's black. It was funny because she wasn't used to being around mostly white people. When my aunt was getting her from the airport, she left the key to her house with us and we hid in her house when she was almost home. Then we surprised Janean when she came in. It was great. She got so freaked out at first because she wasn't expecting to see anyone there.
She's trying to find a job. She was going to go to the Employment Department to find one, but obviously didn't know where it was. She has a license, but has to borrow her mom's pickup truck. I volunteered to show her where the Employment Department was. First, I had to get a picture printed at OfficeMax for my dad. Then I got lost showing her where the place was because I hadn't been there in months and I took the wrong exit which took me to a different area of Coburg Road that I wasn't used to. I got back on the freeway and took her the right way, hoping she didn't get confused from the first attempt. It's right across the street from Borders Books, the place Amy just got hired at. She's so happy about it. She doesn't have to work at Dairy Queen anymore. She will be working in the cafe part. I'm glad for her. She loves books.
After I showed Janean where the Employment Deptartment was, I took her to the Valley River Center for some food in the food court. We both got Cajun food. It was good. Then I took her to Meier and Frank to meet Christiana. She was there, looking as huggable as ever (4'10", cute, petite, glasses, loose sweater) and she was happy to see me, like always. I introduced her to my cousin. Christiana's mom owns a swimwear store in the mall and they are looking for people to sew for them. The pay rate is $10 to $14 an hour. That's good. Janean said she might apply, even though she doesn't like sewing. I told Christiana how I was telling Janean that Meier and Frank was a really cool store and she was the reason it was. She liked that. She said she would call me on Sunday, but if she forgot, for me to call her. I said that I'd end up calling because she would most likely forget. She agreed. I called and she wasn't there. Oh well.
Janean didn't want to go home, and neither did I, so I took her to see Napoleon Dynamite. Yes, that movie again. Yes, it's great, I'm telling you. Everyone should go see it. It's now in the $1.50 theater, but even during the last days it was in the normal theater, it was hard to find a seat. That's awesome. They said that the 2nd day it was in the $1.50 theater, ALL the showings were sold out. That's so cool. Janean said it was stupid, but she liked it. It was funny. Of course it was funny. It rules.
I saw it again with Randy... the first time we actually hung out for the first time in a long time. We had to get a late showing, so we had a lot of time to talk. He got the internet again and might become a member of RPGi. However, he's not home very much, so I'm not sure how much faith to put into that. We played DDR. He's only played it a few times, so we had to do really slow ones. I don't mind that, though.
Well, that's what's been going on. Oh yeah, I started talking to Christina (not Christiana) again. I met her on FOD and we became fast friends, but took a little break. Now we are back to talking and things are going well. I really like talking to her. She makes me feel good about myself. She has a boyfriend, but that's okay, since I don't plan on dating online ever again. Then there's Alicia, whom I also met on FOD. I think she has feelings for me, but is really shy and doesn't talk much if I were to talk sweetly to her at all. Oh well. She's cool. Rachel is also really cool. She is very honest about things (and has said that she likes how I'm very honest as well) and we've been talking often, but not often enough. She and Lior are having a great marriage. She's really supportive, and pushes me to make more of myself. Even though I don't like pressure very much since I get it from my parents all the time, I'm thankful that she cares enough to give it. Cheers, you guys.
