Diary Entry 404: Date with friends (11/28/2004)

Brittany at work has been annoyed with the painters. They were talking about making their girlfriends have an abortion if they got pregnant. Brittany is really against abortion. I don't like the painters, either, so it makes her want to talk to me more and that's good.
I was at work and Bobby invited me to dinner with him at this Mexican place. He told me how to get there. After work I went there, after passing it first, and had a huge burrito. We had this drink that was non-alcoholic but tasted like it had alcohol in it. It was good. He's always fun to be around because he says the funniest random things.
When I was clocking out to go home a few days ago, I overheard Bobby mentioning pizza. I asked what was going on. He said he was going to a pizza party. Brittany said, "Yeah, if you consider Bobby a party." Apparently Brittany and Bobby were going to get pizza for dinner. I asked when they were going to be done because I wanted to do something with either of them afterward. After a few more questions that got unclear answers, Bobby asked if I wanted to go with them to have pizza. I didn't want to intrude and felt that he might be asking because I was bugging them so much. I hesitated. He asked again. I considered it. He asked again and said he wasn't going to ask again. Brittany seconded that. I said I did want to.
We met at Papa's Pizza. Bobby was there by himself. He told some random kids to slow down. There was a fireplace right next to our table and I sat on the bricks in front of it instead of in my chair. Brittany finally came with her 4-year-old daughter, also named Brittany. She is cute. Her daughter is as well, lol. Little Brittany (Britt) is really... spoiled, though. She didn't warm up to me at all until I worked my little kid magic on her. I whispered to Brittany that I was going to steal her purse and see what Britt would do. She was okay with that. I walked up and causally grabbed Brittany's purse. She said to Britt, "Look what he's doing!" Britt smiled and said loudly for me to give it back because it was her mommy's.
I whispered for Bobby to take my wallet so Britt would see. I looked away while he did it and told Britt to look. Then he asked me where my wallet was and I acted as if I didn't know. Bobby said that someone took it, so I went and walked around, then came back and said I didn't see it. Britt loved this. I asked if Britt had it. She said she didn't. The whole time after that, she kept laughing and saying that she didn't have it, and I wasn't asking her anymore. Bobby and I planned for me to ask Bobby to give me a little more soda and I pointed to an area near the bottom. Bobby filled it up all the way despite me saying that was enough. Britt told him to put it back.
Then Brittany told Britt to go and hit me, so she would occasionally punch me on the arm and laugh.
When it was time to go, Bobby produced my wallet and said he found it in the toilet. Britt laughed and agreed. My car was near Brittany's and I was walking with her and Britt said, "You aren't coming with us!"
That was fun. I need to do that again sometime. They are fun people to be around. I love kids. It makes me want to have kids. What I really want is someone to think of me when they need comfort. I think that kids of my own are going to be the only ones who would satisfy this. A girlfriend or wife would, depending on the type of person they are, but I think my own kids would depend on me more and I would love it. I'd love to be the person they turn to when they feel scared or sad. I'd be number one to them. That's something I don't normally get to be.
