Oh man, Billy Joel is sooooo cool! I was driving with my car finally and so I had my stereo and music back. I was currently on my new 4-disc collection of Billy Joel's greatest hits. Only the first 3 are in my car since the last one is mainly him talking. Man, I just love his music. "The Longest Time" is so cool, and "We Didn't Start the Fire" and "River of Dreams" and "Uptown Girl" and "Tell Her About It" and... there was another one I was thinking of. Oh well. Anyway, he has great songs.

Well, I went to Jim's Electronics for that interview and the guy there, Jim, interviewed me. He said that he's not going to make a decision to hire me today, but he'll be hiring someone and if it's not me, then he wished me good luck. He said to call in a week if I hadn't heard from him since he gets really busy and things slip his mind. He was basically giving me career advice. Heh.

So then I decided to go check on some other places where I had already submitted applications, but it was raining hard the whole time and I started getting a headache and the stupid majority of the stupid people didn't have their stupid headlights on when it was bloody raining bloody hard out! A few times I almost ran into a car while changing lanes because I didn't see anyone behind me when I looked because they didn't have their lights on! People must not realize how colors get more dull in the rain and cars can blend in with the street, especially if the car is dark gray. I took a wrong turn because I couldn't get into the lane I needed to get into because there were no signs indicating which lane you had to be in to get to a certain place until it was too late, and I was in the way left lane of a one-way street when I had to be in the way right lane. That detour took me far away without many roads to turn off the freeway from and then when there would be 2 ways to go, neither of them would list Eugene, so I had to guess which one would take me there. I guessed wrong the first time of course.

When I finally got back into familiar territory, I said, "Screw it," and just went home. I was running low on gas as well. But man, Billy Joel is great. At least I had him to listen to during this miserable day. I hope Catie ends her turn playing Legend of Legaia soon. Either that or Kelli gets on. I haven't talked to her in a while.

Uptown Girl is so cheesy fantastic. I love the music video. They just don't make cheese like that anymore.

Nope, they don't. I sold my 4-disc Billy Joel set for $5 at a garage sale and kicked myself later for it. At least I already have it copied into my computer and backed up. It has him in a Q&A session where he talks about how he came up with songs and his influences. It's really cool.
