A love for life and life of love
Now on her way far up above


A thoughtful mind and kindest soul
A heart comprised of purest gold


Although she's only left behind
Her memories in loved ones minds


She will live on within our hearts
In loving thoughts never to part


And if we feel she has been lost
And want her back at any cost

Rays of Hope


I know that life has been so hard
You have done your very best


You're living life now so on guard
Finding no time to ever rest


Others have treated you so wrong
It's so hard to trust a single soul


living your life in darkness so long
I know the pain has taken its toll


Though the sun may sometimes be hidden
It always rises to share it's light

Shades of Gray

I may overanalyze but it can't be all just wrong and right
There are to many shades of gray to see just black and white


A hug may not be just a hug, a kiss not just a kiss
So I look a little deeper now for fear of what I'll miss


When I see a friend is crying I do not see only their tears
I look a little deeper at their pain,lost hopes and fears


When I see a squirrel gathering nuts to stash within ...

I built these walls around me to try to keep my purity
I knitted this blanket myself, it's a blanket of security
I grew these plants around me, to give me oxygen to breathe
Though I am shielded in my armour, I still bemoan and seethe
I take comfort in the catacombs, among the listless few
Eternal rest beneath the earth, awaiting life anew
Yet my remains still roam the earth, held in place with paste
Masked by mortal flesh and bone that soon will go to waste ...
