ENTJ's often mistype as ENTP, ESTP, ISTP, and INTP.

INTJ's often mistype as ENTJ.

The ENTJ forum should be about 4 times the size it is right now.

fix it.

How can a J or P be mistaken for one another?

Either you are punctual or fly by the seat of your pants. One or the other. hahaha ;)

No you can be both. As an ENTJ, I am both spontaneous, yet have a very good sense for how much time it will take to get somewhere, and I'll usually get there on the dot. Lateness is usually caused by either forgetfulness or miscalculation.

"Lateness is usually caused by either forgetfulness or miscalculations". Yes... this is the cause of lateness period. Not just for particular types...

This has actually been bugging me a lot lately! I'm married to an INTP - I know a lot about how the INTP brain works. I have a dad who is ENTJ - I know a lot about how different and similar these two types are IRL. It seems that mis-typed INTPs on the forum mistake Fi for Ti and perhaps don't really study the differences between Ne and Ni? I'm not sure how it happens, but there are a lot of 'INTPs' here that I'm pretty sure are ENTJ, INTJ, or ENTP. My INTP would never take the time to write long, in-depth analogies and argue with people as much as these 'supposed' INTPs do. My ENTJ dad is the 'king' of analogies and well-organized debates. Most INTPs probably decide it is pointless to get into it and just go on a nice Ti-wave privately. I could be wrong, but I feel that the differences in communication style between an ENTJ and an INTPs are really essential in distinguishing these two personalities from one another. Yes, they're both NT and often the profile descriptions might create an overlap in what they relate to; but when the actual personality is in action, it looks very different from the other.

I even have a friend who is writing a guy who is convinced he is INTP and they can't figure out (she's an INFJ) why they keep having such a disconnect. It is completely the Fi/Fe clash - and it would help them oh so much if he understood that part of his own personality and she found that there is no 'inferior Fe' to tap into. Anyway - I'm with ya on this!!
