So a friend of mine once had me go through one of those self discovery exercises called cubing. I wasn't familiar with it until she brought it up to me. I thought it was a pretty neat little exercise that gave me a chance to really think about what I was looking for in personal relationships.

The most poignant of those, to me, was the ladder which was meant to symbolize how you view friendship. My cube (which represented me) was up in the air with the ladder laying on the ground ...
