All around me was madness, harsh chaos..
My heart and head were heavy, my love was dying.
Inside I was dying. She was already dead.
This song played in the background.
I had never heard it before nor since.
I did not hear the words, But the melody was rich in contrast with the with the desperation and intensity that was exploding all around us.
The melody has haunted me for almost 2 years.
If you could imagine this song playing to war footage or the footage of a riot, you might grok the comparison I am trying to swing here.

So tonight on a whim, I played this song.. and looked at the lyrics.

It's haunting now complete, as it tells a story of the mood that engulfed that night.
A fitting anthem for a love that now seems distant and a vague surreal dream.
