A rather negative way of looking at relationships... therefore I approve.

I find this analysis to be more accurate in a lot of ways. The other has elements of truth, certainly going into more areas, but I can always think of exceptions, or it is only true a minority of the time.

Okay, that Socionics thing is weird, 'cause I always thought that my grandma and grandpa were perfect for each other... They seriously never argue, ever. That thing says they have best compatibility, the Dual Relation. My grandpa is ENTJ, and my grandma, ISFJ.

But does that only work in romantic relationships? Because I'm ISFJ too, and I do not appreciate my grandpa's bossy-ness, lol... but I bet if I were to fall in love with an ENTJ, I wouldn't mind it, 'cause as long as he loved me, I'd be happy to do what he wants.

Calling it 'weird', is being generous. :D

It's rather a flawed system, that lacks internal congruency.

I think these relationship descriptions are accurate enough, but sometimes people don't type themselves or others around them correctly. To use socionics intertype relationship chart, you first have to become a really good typist, study all the types extensively, study cognitive functions, read Jung's work on psychological types, and so on. Not many ever commit themselves to going through the full course. With inaccurate typings of course relationship predictions won't work.

They are also averages, meaning that in majority of cases they have an effect, but there will always be outliers.

I agree for the most part with what this says, though I'm not sure I like the general attitude it has..
I'm with you Sanityhatesme. I'm an INFJ with an ISTP, and we fall under Relations of Activity. I don't like the overall attitude of the post either; it's almost as if it expects these types of relationships to eventually fade out and fail. Unfortunately, what is said about arriving at the same conclusions through different modes and giving advice to each other in ways that don't really cater to each other's strengths seems true. However, this is just one site's opinion. And relationships can't be put into a box. There are deeper matters that must be taken into account, like individual morals and values, and varying degrees of determination to work on something.

ENTP + ISFP = relations of duality?

I highly doubt that, especially in my case.

I got Relations of Benefit (me being the benefactor). Isn't this a bit shallow? Basically if he figures out he doesn't need me, he's out. The only way it works is if I'm settler and he's the reacher (thank you How I Met Your Mother). Is this typical?

Socionics doesn't assign J/P letters the same way as MBTI. This is why their j/p letters are written lower-case, to distinguish this difference. So you have to be careful here and pay more attention to the functional assignments of types.

Socionics ISFp is Si-leading and Fe-auxiliary and corresponds most closely to MBTI's ISFJ type.

ISFp/ISFJ is the type that is able to provide ENTP with the sensory grounding that they need, take care of all the tasks that ENTPs don't like to do, provide them with Fe-creative guidance and help in ethical matters. On their side they enjoy an open-minded, improvising, quick-witted nature which ENTPs possess.

What MBTI types are you and your partner? You'll need to transfer your types into socionics according to their leading and auxiliary functions.

I am an INTJ and my best friend and girlfriend are both ESFP. According to that, I shouldn't get along with either of them, but I do. (They get on my nerves a lot, sure, but I'm not about to end my relationships with either of them).
