I am an INFP with a doctorate in Scientific Research and a very healthy income. There are always outliers and you don't always need to be an ENTJ to succeed.

INTP here. The place of INTP, INFP, ISTJ looks relevant to me.

INTP me > Decided to be a freelancer (you know, Ti/Ne-way of life). Ti-Ne usually have very low material need. I have a good daily salary, but my needs didn't grow with my salary. (You know, the "Ti-rules") Every time my salary goes up, I decide to work less and to live more. Meaning, when my pay goes up, my annual salary doesn't really go up.

Now, I take job only if : "I immediately need money because I'll die of starvation" or "It's a interesting one" or "It's a crappy one but HELL the pay is high". All my jobs are very short, because I get bored fast.

INFP friends > Fi-Ne usually have very low material needs. Tried multiple times to get them well paid job and the INFPs often refused for ethical problems or because "I don't wanna. Why ? Because I don't wan't to do it. Pfft.". You know, Fi-rules. They often prefer to take a super-cool job with a lower pay.

INFP friends have the same mindset as me but are a lot more picky on the "interesting-ness" and on the ethic of a project than me.

ISTJ boyfriend > Si/Te/Fi guy is too stuck in the daddy stereotype. "I'm here to get money in the house", so he works a lot and spends a lot for the others (even when not asked). Si-Te wants to get and give comfort and stability. He's focused into work<not for the work itself> but for the money. He has a lot more material need than me, so he needs to get a lot more money than me if he wants to live up to his standard.

As for ISFJ > I'm not close to ISFJ, but most ISFJ I know are part timer, preferring to concentrate on their family life.

For ENTP > I'm surprised it ranked so low.
But well, ENTP I know are either SUPER successful, either NOT-successful at all. I think there's a huge contrast of salary in this category.

why are intp's in pragmatist? they are logical not practical?(by mbti defintions)

Oh, as an ENTP person that have some really BIG ambitions, it was boring =/

Ps.: but I'm not too surprised, ENTP people tend to bet high and procrastinate some points that cannot be, in this rust world.

The people broke up the types into the temperaments like Kiersey but just changed the names. NTs went from the "Rationals" to the "Pragmatists"
