I believe it is the combination of MBTI, Socionics, Ennagram, and Cognitive you would have much better understanding of someone compared astrology.

If I told you I was a Scorpio you know when I was born.

If I told you I was an INFJ, EII, 5w6 then I think one could learn some important qualities that I have or that I dislike.

Church in the INFP's ideal date activities pissed me off. Are atheist INFPs such a rare thing? Ask me out to go to church together, all you'll get is a red cross on your name. Next on the list, please!

(This is not meant to criticize believers, by any means. If you are a believer, just think how happy you'd be to be stereotyped as someone who's perfect date is an atheist debate or something like that).

I HATE the INFP "churchy-religious" stereotype. Just because we're committed to our beliefs doesn't mean we all believe in the same thing.

So the ENTJ, ENTP, ISFP, ESTP and ISTP are the horndogs of the MBTI. That doesn't surprise me to tell you the truth. I'm not buying the zodiac compatibility though.

Don't you have to get ready for church soon? I'm having a party I need to be the life of. :p /dumbstereotypes

While that is true, I sometimes think or wonder how astrology, calendars and schedules came into effect. I see the Mayans even dictates the names of children/duty depending on the day they're born and signs based on months and morning or night.
So I am curious, why did they have this? Was there some probability in what they were saying at first then their society placed those views down? Ie if you were always told you were this _ person, that might affect you into becoming that. And I guess it's all those things, all these things put people into their little boxes mbti-16 boxes. Enneagram 9 boxes. But idk! Maybe just my late night rant

No i complete understand this side of the argument. I am glad that some people have "unknown personalities" and such. It makes people aware that these personality types are rough estimates at best not fact.

I hate seeing threads and posts relating human traits to a certain personality type. For example, the INFJ doorslam is a common term but doorslaming is a HUMAN DEFENSE!

Watch out though displaying your gender puts you in a box also.

I always wonder about the percentages, and I think, this cant be true. Also, the % E vs. %I, N vs S, F vs T and J vs P...

The % E can range from 51%-100%.. which are two opposite ends of the E spectrum, a person with 100% E and 51% E while both considered E will have considerably different traits.

and yes, human behavior varies from person to person, and depends on a lot of things like upbringing and that's statistically proven more than it being proven to be associated with your MBTI/Enneagram type etc.

Ugh shut up, you're not invited on my hippie soul-searching backpacking trip with my Church *throws cross at you*
Yeah I don't buy into the Zodiac/MBTI compatibility thing either. It's also a little weird how the creators of this base your presumed sex drive / romantic interest off of your MBTI type.
