CORRECTIONS MADE TO: "Mapping Out Cognitive Functions Of Your Type and Others..."

I realized that I made a mistake in the Blog I posted 2 days ago. I stated that the letter in the 4th position would make the Perceiving Function or the Judging Function the Dominant Function however this is incorrect and I apologize to everyone who read my article for my mistake.

The letter in the 4th position actually chooses whether or not the Perceiving Function or the Judging Function will be Extroverted. So basically it chooses which function will be Extroverted as opposed to which function will be Dominant.

The mistake basically would have still given Extroverted types the correct Cognitive Functions for their own types and other Extroverted types but would give the wrong Cognitive Functions for all Introverted types.

I have gone back and fixed the original Blog so now I can assure you that you be 100% accurate in writing out the cognitive functions for your type and for other types. [Here is the Blog with all mistakes fixed : http://personalitycafe.com/blogs/ray...e-others-2513/ ]

To clear up any confusion that Introverted types might have had yesterday (or any Extroverted types trying to figure out the functions for Introverted types) I have decided to write out the steps again in this blog but I will use and Introverted type in the example in order to give you a better understanding of how it works.

So I will use the type ISFJ in this example:

FIRST take the letter that is in the first position of you personality type and make the Dominant and Tertiary Functions that letter. Then SECOND make your Auxiliary and Inferior Functions the opposite letter.

So if your Ixxx (if your Exxx then do the opposite) FIRST it should look like this:

    DOMINANT: i
    AUXILIARY:
    TERTIARY: i
    INFERIOR:

Then it should look like this:

    DOMINANT: i
    AUXILIARY: e
    TERTIARY: i
    INFERIOR: e

Next look at the letter in the 4th position [xxx(P or J)]. For an ISFJ this would be J so the letter in the 3rd (or JUDGING) position would become extroverted. That would mean you would have to find the strongest Extroverted Function and place the letter F there so it should look like this:

    DOMINANT: i
    AUXILIARY: Fe
    TERTIARY: i
    INFERIOR: e

The Tertiary Function would use the opposite letter of the letter that is the Auxiliary Function so the Inferior Function would then become Ti for ISFJ's because the opposite for FEELING is THINKING. So it should then look like this:

    DOMINANT: i
    AUXILIARY: Fe
    TERTIARY: Ti
    INFERIOR: e

The Dominant Function would then use the letter that is in the position that hasn't been used yet so in an ISFJ's case this would be the 2nd (or PERCEIVING) position. So the Dominant Function would be filled in with a S for SENSING making it look like this.

    DOMINANT: Si
    AUXILIARY: Fe
    TERTIARY: Ti
    INFERIOR: e

and then the Inferior Function would use the opposite letter of the letter that is used for the Dominant Function which would be N because INTUITION is the opposite for SENSING so it should look like this:

    DOMINANT: Si
    AUXILIARY: Fe
    TERTIARY: Ti
    INFERIOR: Ne

Once again I apologize and I assure you that both this Blog and The previous one are now accurate so be sure to check out the previous blog again here: http://personalitycafe.com/blogs/ray...e-others-2513/

    Hope this has helped. ~Ray~
