Aww man… I'm an ENFP who's straight out of college and about to go into teaching this next fall! I'll only be an assistant teacher for a year as I get my masters and learn the craft, but it's a bummer to hear that you're not enjoying the job.

Tell me, do you think that teaching is a bad career fit for ENFPs? I know that personally despite my general success as a college student, I struggle a lot with organization and time management. I was hoping my ENFP skills would make me a good teacher though -- a love for people, passion for ideas and literature, communication skills, a sense of humor, a genuine interest in helping other people, etc. But perhaps I'm too naive? Sometimes my optimism does get carried away….

And what parts about teaching do you find stressful as an ENFP? Any advice for me that you'd be willing to share, I'd love to hear.

What if we are so optimistic and free-flowing, that we crave a stable, almost "safe" environment? Someplace, perhaps workplace, where we could think freely but want a sort of structure?

    Signs of stress for ISTJ:
    • Becoming more outgoing, sociable, and talkative

This is really funny because most people would see this as a good sign.

This makes soooooo much sense!! I remember right before college I went through a whole year of just non-stop worry about the tiniest things and my whole future at the same time and it was so exhausting! Do ENFPs go through some kind of loop or grip under stress like some other types can?

    This is brilliant work. Thanks.

Great article...trying to embrace my good attributes as INTJ, can be hard at times :) Thanks.

Is there a similar article for ENTJ, ENFJ, ESTP, ISFP and ISTP?

Can we please have all the other personalities?
