@Enygmatic - This got me thinking. Maybe we should account for both the percentage of each same-letter MBTI marriage in the OP (All Same = 0.09, 3 same = 0.35, 2 same = 0.33, 1 same = 0.19, 0 same = 0.04), and give a factor to how often a MBTI type + enneagram type occurs (More common = 1, Quite common = .75, Less common = 0.50, Least common = 0.25) (This is arbitrary, since we don't have the actual statistics, and the percentages I chose could be way off, but let's try.) If you multiply the percentages, and sort by the resulting odds you get:

Thus, for INFP 9, the top 10 categories would be:

Now to make sure those "Factors" I chose are somewhat accurate. I have a feeling that "Least Common" is more like 5%. However, the Top 10 categories should be pretty accurate, despite changing around the Factor percentages.

    Interesting! :)

Isnt ESTP best with ISFJ? I thought this wasn't news lol.
Yea I have always felt a 7 and a 1 can balance each other out, the 1 has morals and reminds the 7 of these, and the 7 can bring a little fun to the 1's life. I am always attracted to 7 types, even before I knew about the enneagram, I love their fun adventurous nature!
And I have heard so many different compatibility with MBTI theories, I don't think I agree that any match is a match made in heaven. ;) although some matches have more of a chance of working out then others

I cannot imagine being in a relationship / married to anyone other than an ENFP or INFP. It would surprise me if I ended up with another type, though I guess it's possible. There is a zero percent chance of me being married or even being romantically attracted to a thinker though.

I'm an INFP and my husband is an INFJ. This I am sure of. He is not just my husband, but my soulmate. We've been waiting for each other all our lives... even had fantasies of an ideal mate that pretty closely match who we are (without ever idealizing the other).

As for enneagram, I'm a 4w3. He is either a 1w9 or a 7w6, still on the fence.

Typology should not be a deciding factor when considering a potential relationship.

If I don't find a "innovative villainesque INTJ viring mastermind ", I'm not getting married at all.

I'm an INFP, my husband an ESTJ. We are happily married, but it is definitely a battle to get him to understand me or to understand him at times.
