I totally agree. Leonardo was interested in so many things that I think it was more important to him to explore them and learn, while Michelangelo was much more interested in painting and sculpture for his own expression. If I had to guess I would think that Leonardo was and NP of some sort, and Michelangelo was an SP of some sort.
.

I almost cried when I saw Michaelangelo's Pietà. That's why he is my favourite of the two.
I feel like he wants to express, while Da Vinci wants to show.
Michelangelo couldn't paint/sculpt women.
Look at those fake boobs! Lol.
Well actually, he may have done it intentionally. Maybe.
I prefer Da Vinci. Both of these guys leave me pretty cold when it comes to emotion effect but I like Leonardo's aesthetics more.

I prefer Da Vinci. But MA was also good.
Probably Michelangelo, especially his work in the Sistine Chapel, which I find to be mind bogglingly breathtaking. I feel even more admiration for it because apparently he saw himself more as a sculptor than a painter. But I love the scientific nature of some of Leonardo's work.

Michaelangelo is a big nothing compared to Da Vinci. Da Vinci was the most diversely talented man EVER
Michelangelo worked pretty hard with his artworks. I've learned in art history he even wore a candle to his headpiece when he worked with his statues late at night. Leonardo of Vinci, during that time, slacked a bit in his workshop--he only applies to his project with comfort (food, music and such). However, it doesn't subtract the fact that he's talented..not a lot of people can create sfumato in their paintings! Lol, he doesn't finish most of his projects.
Therefore, I can't decide between the two. I like Michelangelo's on-point of portraying feelings with his sculptural works, and I appreciate the experimental processes Leonardo had played around with.
If you're a patron in need of spiritual works, then Michelangelo would be the guy for you, plus he will get things done. If you're a philosopher in need for discussing new ideas and inventions, then there's Leonardo.

Michelangelo. I just look at the Pieta and my heart wants to burst.
@notfunny
I never saw that sculpture before though... guess Michelangelo was really male-centric in his art.. that looks like a man with tumors on his chest.
