2010 Happy New Years! Top 10 moments of 2009 and 2010 new years resolution?

I hope 2009 was a great year for you and I'm wishing you a better one for 2010.

2.) Twitter and Iran Elections - Who knew that such a website can help in a revolution?
3.) Micheal Jackson - Love, Hate, Love?
4.) Health Care - Good ol American busin.. I mean medicine.
5.) Swine Flu - Flying Pigs are scaring the masses.
6.) Movie Industry Thrives! Is it just me or was there a lot of great movies that came out this year?
7.) Balloon Boy - An idiotic hoax can land you and your family on national television!
8.) Lend Lend Lend! Hey your government is helping businesses that produces products that no one wants.
9.) World Economy - If it's too good to be true it probably is.
10.) Google is the devil.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!

My resolutions are to:

1. Write my morning pages, every morning and in the morning!
2. Increase production of publishable works of writing.
3. Be ever kinder, and ever more amazing.
4. Use Personality Cafe more!

In terms of 2009, I do love that Barack Obama was inaugurated--I have a bit of a crush on him. But aside from his historic inauguration, I found 2009 to be a yucky year! I got mono, and (unrelated to that) I seemed to have ruined the life of a dear friend. On the plus side, I did *finally* come out! Okay, I only came out to (cough) myself, and a couple of friends. But hopefully the new year will bring the courage to tell my mom!

As cbelle wrote, I'd also like to a lot more (publishable) writing--that's my biggest resolution. Next in line is to have sex with a man, and to go to the gym more. Those last two might be interrelated.

2009 sucked.

Don't get me started on Obama. The only silver lining is that once he's through with America, I'll be in a position to bring the hammer down and plunge the country into the chaos and anarchy I've so long dreamed of. For only then can I turn to the hillbilly life of my ancestry.

I caught pneumonia and missed 3 weeks of class, we had a falling out with family "friends" (being the leeches that clung to us while my mom was sick and rented houses from us, and to this day haven't payed a dime of rent), the resulting evictions and lawsuits to get the money from them, the months of living like poor people because of my mom being unable to work and no income from the rental houses (see above), the imminent danger of losing our home... so yeah...

Oh, and my desktop died, and we've been unable to afford a new one for 6 months and counting. I've lived off my laptop.

But, I guess, there were some good things.

I graduated High School.

I survived my first semester of College.

and...

I don't know.

I'm glad it's over, though not because I'm excited about whatever's to come.

EDIT: And that logo is cool! I forgot about that!

2009 was OK. I found out a lot about myself, and I managed to get a second poem published. A quite eventful year, and what a way to end the decade. Now we're in the fourth decade that I've lived in (1980's, 1990's, 2000's, 2010's), I'm hoping that this coming decade is going to be one of my best and most productive decades.

I don't make resolutions because I would probably give them up after a month or so anyway, but I suppose for this year I would like to improve my writing skills more (and that means more original fiction and not just fanfiction).

2009 was a crazy year in my personal life.

resolutions for 2010?

-keep my room semi-organized
-fight off junior-itis (can I give up already?)
-make some headway in my Russian studies
-learn more about people and how-to-not-be-so-awkward
-learn my limits re: how much is necessary, helpful, and/or possible to put on my plate at any given time
-eat more

My new years resolution is to eat healthier and be a stricter vegetarian.

My friend's new years resolution is to lay off the alcohol. I'll also be participating in that for moral support
